Q: When a patron asks why we ask for information once they get to the CTR reporting level, are other casinos handing out the pamphlet as provided by the FinCEN website? How do other properties handle the inquiry from the patron as to why we need the required information?

A: Some properties have created FinCEN cards from the CTR pamphlet provided by FinCEN and hand them out in such instances. The format followed for the information pamphlets varies greatly based upon a property's customer base and the risk analysis established during its independent testing.
