The Jersey Gambling Commission (JGC)

The Gambling Commission (Jersey) Law 2010 came into force on the 23rd September 2010. The Commission is made up of a non-executive Board together with three executive officers. The Law creating the JGC transferred most responsibilities for licensing, registration and regulation of gambling prescribed in legislation to the new Authority. However, functions in relation to the Channel Islands Lottery or any Order-making powers remain the sole responsibility of the Minister.
